Fun Fact: Did you know Milwaukee is nicknamed “Cream City” because of the cream-colored bricks that were locally produced and used in many of the city’s buildings during the 19th century. The clay found in the Milwaukee area produced a light yellow or cream-colored brick when fired, and it gives the city its unique & distinctive look.

GETTING TO THE IRON HORSE HOTEL

CHECKING IN
As you enter, you’ll find the front desk to the right. The interior is absolutely captivating – you’ll see iconic Harley memorabilia, local art, comfy seating, and an overall rustic, chic interior.
On the first floor, you’ll find much more beyond the cozy, industrial modern lobby – you can find onsite dining, a full service bar, a local shop, a pool table, and access to the seasonal patio that’s open for the warmer months.
You’ll also see water bowls around for the four-legged guests! The Iron Horse Hotel is very dog friendly! πΎ
If you head up to the second floor, you’ll be in awe of the twinkling lights and an open ceiling that offers a view down into the lobby.

There are four distinct venue spaces: The Gallery, The Loft, The Sandbox & War Room, and The Library. The Cream City Studio was so beautifully designed and extremely spacious. It featured modern industrial-style furniture with a historic touch. The wall mural by local artist, Charles Dwyer, added character and charm to the room, paired with a gorgeous view of the 6th St. Viaduct, a premium walk-in shower, a sitting area, and a dedicated work space. I guarantee you’ll also be impressed by the absolute top-notch comfort of the beds!
